Ambrogio Colombo is an Italian voice actor known for his extensive and versatile career in dubbing international films, television series, and animated productions into Italian, often portraying authoritative, intellectual, and character-driven roles. [1] [2] He has become one of the most recognizable voices in Italy's dubbing industry through his long-term collaborations with prominent actors and his contributions to major franchises. [1]
Colombo frequently dubs Stellan Skarsgård, including as Professor Erik Selvig across multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films such as Thor, The Avengers, and Thor: Love and Thunder, as well as Boris Shcherbina in the HBO miniseries Chernobyl. [1] He is also the established Italian voice of David McCallum's Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard in NCIS, a role that earned him the Premio Voci award for Best Character Voice in Television in 2007. [1] Other notable recurring assignments include Victor Garber in series like Alias and Legends of Tomorrow, J.K. Simmons in various films, and iconic characters such as Yoda in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. [1]
His work in animation includes supporting and additional voices in numerous Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks productions, such as Underminer in The Incredibles franchise, Bailey in Finding Dory, and Arturo in Encanto, alongside consistent contributions to long-running series like Family Guy as Mort Goldman. [3] [2] Born in Milan on September 17, 1952, Colombo has occasionally appeared in original Italian acting roles, though his primary impact remains in the field of dubbing. [1] [2]
