Hughes married his wife Jill and they have two sons, Alex and Curtis, and a daughter, Xenna.
OBE Award

Hughes was awarded an OBE in 2004 for his services to football.
Professional Playing Career
First Spell at Manchester United
1980-1986
Hughes signed professional terms with Manchester United and made his debut against Oxford in 1983.
Barcelona and Bayern Munich

Hughes joined Barcelona in a £2.3 million deal but was loaned out to Bayern Munich due to failing to settle.
