Iāve been reading Stephen King since my school days, and over the years, heās become more than just a horror author to meāheās a true "master of stories." Currently, I have 25 physical books in my collection, and it's a little dream of mine to collect them all one day.
I read some of these as e-books, but I can't wait to have them all in hardcover on my shelf. Here is my "read list" with some quick thoughts:

Pet Sematary ā The saddest and creepiest book about how, sometimes, death is better.
The Dead Zone ā A tragic story about a gift that turns into a curse.

Cujo ā A simple but incredibly tense standoff between a human and a rabid dog.

Carrie ā Where it all began. A story you just can't forget.

Drama & Sci-Fi
11.22.63 ā An incredible dive into the 60s atmosphere. The ending literally had me in tears.
The Green Mile / The Shawshank Redemption ā Masterpieces that prove King is a genius of deep drama.
Under the Dome ā A social experiment showing that people can be scarier than any supernatural force.
Revival ā I still canāt get the ending of this book out of my head. Dark stuff.
Mystery & Thrillers
Rose Madder ā A powerful story about escaping domestic violence with a touch of myth and mystery.
Needful Things ā About what weāre willing to do for our desires. Pure chaos in a small town.
Dreamcatcher ā A weird but catchy mix of friendship and alien invasion.
Mr. Mercedes ā A great detective story that started my love for the Bill Hodges trilogy.
Insomnia / Duma Key ā Both are super atmospheric and hard to put down.
Collections & Novellas
Four Past Midnight / The Langoliers ā The Langoliers is what sparked my obsession with Kingās shorter fiction.
Just After Sunset / If It Bleeds ā Great collections where every story hits the mark.
Whatās next? My goal is to fill my entire bookshelf with Kingās work. If youāre a fan of "Uncle Stevie" too, let me know in the comments which book got you started!
