In 2018, Ann Makosinski was named one of Glamour magazine's College Women of the Year. In 2018, Makosinski presented her invention of the "eDrink mug" to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show, which uses heat from a drink to charge a phone and was awarded $5,000 to support her education. She was also in negotiations to commercially manufacture and distribute the flashlight. In 2018, Ann Makosinski won four major awards from the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
