After funds were raised via Indiegogo,[4] owners opened Beast and Cleaver on New Year's Eve in 2019.[5][6] Kevin Smith is a co-owner.[7][8]
The business experienced an upsurge in early March 2020, during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.[9] Beast and Cleaver has hosted small dinners on weekends under the moniker 'Peasant'.[10][11]
