Charles Babbage died on 18 October 1871, in Marylebone, London, at the age of
79. He was buried in London's Kensal Green Cemetery. His death marked the end of
a prominent life dedicated to science, invention, and mathematics, although many
of his designs, including the Difference Engine and Analytical Engine, remained
incomplete during his lifetime.

Georgiana Whitmore, the wife of Charles Babbage, died in Worcester on 1
September 1827. This year was marked by significant losses for Babbage, as his
father, their second son (also named Charles) and their newborn son Alexander
also died in the same year.
