Dylan Collier (born 27 April 1991) is a New Zealand professional rugby union player who plays as a forward and captains the New Zealand national sevens team.
Club career
[edit]A goal kicking winger, Collier was a New Zealand Warriors junior and played in their 2011 National Youth Competition Grand Final winning side. In 2012 Collier played for the Auckland Vulcans in the NSW Cup.[1]
Collier signed for Waikato in 2013 and made his New Zealand rugby sevens debut in 2015 after playing for Waikato at the National Sevens Championship.[2][3] He joined the Southland Stags for the 2016 Mitre 10 Cup.[4]
International career
[edit]Collier was part of the All Blacks Sevens squad that won a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.[5][6][7][8]
In 2024, He led New Zealand at the Paris Olympics.[9][10]

Rugby career
Collier began his rugby career in rugby league, representing the New Zealand Warriors Under 20 side. He transitioned to rugby union and rugby sevens in 2014. [2] He debuted for the New Zealand national sevens team in Wellington in 2015 and has since become a regular in the squad, known for his forward play at 192 cm height. [3] He contributed to Waikato's win in the National Sevens in 2015. [2] Collier has also played in the fifteen-a-side game for teams including Waikato and Southland. In 2024, he was named captain of the New Zealand men's rugby sevens team. [3]Notable achievements
