Femke Liefting (Dutch: [ˈfɛmkə ˈliftɪŋ];[1] born 2 January 2005) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Women's Super League 2 side Newcastle United, on loan from Chelsea.[2]
Liefting started her youth career with FC Uitgeest and joined the youth academy of Telstar at the age of 11. She moved to VV Alkmaar two years later.[3] On 18 April 2024, she signed a two-year contract extension with VV Alkmaar until June 2026.[4]
On 31 January 2025, Liefting joined Women's Super League (WSL) club Chelsea on a three-and-a-half-year deal.[5] On 4 September, she joined WSL 2 side Newcastle United,[6] on loan for the 2025–26 season.[7]
In October 2024, Liefting received her first call-up to the Netherlands national team for friendly matches against Indonesia and Denmark.[8][2]
