The Iraqi Second Division League is a football league that is the fourth tier of the Iraqi football league system.[1] The league was founded in 1974, and consists of 20 teams split into two groups in the first stage. The top four teams in each group qualify for the second stage, where they are split into two further groups. The two group winners in the second stage are promoted directly to the Iraqi First Division League, while the two group runners-up compete in a third place play-off to determine which team enters the promotion play-off with the 18th-placed team from the First Division League.

The two teams that finish bottom of their group in the first stage are relegated to the Iraqi Third Division League. The ninth-placed teams of each group compete in a play-off, and the loser enters a relegation play-off with the third-placed team from the Third Division League. The league is governed by the Iraq Football Association (IFA).[2]

In the 2024–25 season, Aliyat Al-Shorta won the championship title after defeating Masafi Al-Shamal 3–1 in the final match.[3]
