What happened with Isaac Newton on 21 September, 1717

On 21 September 1717, Newton wrote a report to the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury regarding the bimetallic relationship between gold and silver coins. This report led to the Royal Proclamation on 22 December 1717.
