Jason Daniel Kelce was born in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, to Ed Kelce, a sales representative in the steel business, and Donna, who works in banking.

High School
Kelce attended Cleveland Heights High School, where he played both running back and linebacker and was twice named All-Lake Erie League. He also played baritone saxophone in the symphonic and jazz bands.
University of Cincinnati
2005-2010
Kelce played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats, initially as a walk-on running back before switching to fullback and then to offensive line. He started 38 games, 26 at left guard and 12 at center.
