Jennell Jaquays died from complications of Guillain–Barré syndrome at a hospital in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 67. This date marks the end of her life and a significant loss to the gaming community.

Jaquays leaves Judges Guild after completing two stand-alone D&D modules for Dungeons & Dragons, Dark Tower and Caverns of Thracia. After that she provided content on a freelance basis thereafter, particularly to The Dungeoneer.
