Key Information

History

[edit]

KVN Productions was founded in 2020 by Venkat K. Narayana and Nisha Venkat Konanki in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The company entered the Kannada film industry with its debut production Sakath, directed by Simple Suni, which released in November 2021. This was followed by Bytwo Love.[3][4] in early 2022. From the outset, the founders focused on backing fresh narratives and building a foundation for pan-Indian cinematic reach, laying the groundwork for cross-industry collaborations and future expansion.

Phase 2: Expansion and Pan-Indian presence

[edit]

In its second phase, KVN Productions expanded its vision beyond regional cinema to establish itself as a significant player in the Pan-Indian film industry. Focusing on collaborations with leading actors, directors, and technicians across multiple languages, the company aims to produce high-quality films that appeal to diverse audiences nationwide. This phase marks KVN's evolution into a premium film studio known for combining creative storytelling with technical excellence.

KD - The Devil[5] is a high-profile Kannada-language action thriller produced under KVN Productions’ Phase 2 slate. Directed by Prem, the film features a star-studded cast including Dhruva Sarja, Reeshma Nanaiah, Sanjay Dutt,[6] Shilpa Shetty,[7] Ramesh Aravind, V Ravichandran, and Nora Fatehi. The soundtrack is composed by Arjun Janya, with William David handling cinematography. Scheduled for release in the second half of 2025, KD - The Devil will be dubbed into Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam to reach a pan-Indian audience.

Toxic[8] is a bold, high-octane bilingual film jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Directed by visionary filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, this film marks an ambitious cinematic venture with Yash leading from the front. Set to release worldwide on 19 March 2026,[9] Toxic will drop simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Its release strategically coincides with the festive celebrations of Ugadi and Eid Ul Fitr, positioning Toxic as one of the most eagerly awaited Pan-Indian films of the year.

Jana Nayagan[10] marks KVN Productions’[11] grand debut in Tamil cinema, directed by H. Vinoth and starring superstar Vijay in his much-anticipated “one last time” final cinematic performance before entering politics. The film also features Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Mamitha Baiju[12] in prominent roles. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan. Scheduled for release on 9 January 2026.[13] Jana Nayagan will be dubbed into Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam, underscoring KVN's vision to deliver a pan-Indian blockbuster that combines star power with technical brilliance.

An untitled Malayalam film[14] produced by KVN Productions, directed by Chidambaram and written by Jithu Madhavan. This project marks a powerful collaboration between two of Malayalam cinema's most promising talents, fresh off their blockbuster successes, Manjummel Boys and Aavesham, respectively. Chidambaram’s visionary direction combined with Jithu Madhavan’s gripping storytelling has garnered critical acclaim and commercial success, setting high expectations for this upcoming film. With music composed by Sushin Shyam, the film is poised to be a major cinematic event. Filming is set to begin soon. It will be dubbed into Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, further cementing KVN Productions’ growing influence across South Indian cinema.[14]

Beyond these marquee projects, KVN Productions is quietly shaping a formidable slate of films. Some whispered about in industry circles, others shrouded in complete secrecy, and many already chattered about on social media. What's coming next promises to challenge conventions, ignite imaginations, and redefine the future of Indian cinema.

KVN joined hands with Invenio Origin to support India's first premium certified AV and electronic Marketplace, www.budbee.in. This venture was also been backed by Rishikesh SR of Rapido.

Live events and concerts

[edit]

In 2024, KVN Productions expanded into large-scale live entertainment by bringing the Indian debut of Anirudh Ravichander’s Hukum World Tour to Bengaluru. Scheduled to be held at Terraform Arena on May 31 and June 1, the concert marks one of the most high-profile musical events in the city's recent memory.[23]

The response has been extraordinary. Over 16,000 tickets for Day 1 sold out within 60 minutes,[24] with District by Zomato serving as the official ticketing partner. The digital rush was intense, screens refreshing, servers straining, and every seat booked in record time.[25]

Due to overwhelming demand, a second consecutive show was announced for June 1, making it a rare instance of an artist performing back-to-back nights at the same venue. Bengaluru will be the only city in India to witness such a double feature on the Hukum tour, adding to the anticipation surrounding the event.[26]

With this, KVN Productions steps into the live performance space with scale and spectacle, delivering not only blockbuster cinema but also pioneering music experiences that match global standards.
