LA 105 proceeds north along the river for 10.9 miles (17.5 km) to the town of Melville, where it makes a zigzag via LA 10 (LaFleur Street) next to the defunct Melville Ferry landing. Continuing north from Melville, LA 105 passes through Bayou Current and intersects LA 360. It then crosses from St. Landry Parish into Avoyelles Parish and continues 10.4 miles (16.7 km) further to its terminus at LA 1 at the foot of the Atchafalaya River bridge in Simmesport.
