The Chatterjee Group Centres for Research and Education in Science and Technology or simply TCG CREST, is an education institute deemed-to-be-university located in Salt Lake’s Sector V, West Bengal, India. It has five schools.[2] It was established in 2020 and is one of the first research-driven private university in India.[3][4]

A notable instance of this collaboration occurred on September 14, 2023, when senior AcSIR leadership visited the TCG CREST campus in Kolkata. During this visit, Documents were exchanged, Discussions were held to enhance their ongoing collaboration, symbolizing the strengthening of their partnership. The PhD degrees earned by students at TCG CREST were awarded by AcSIR.[5]

The institute consists of five schools, including the School of Natural Sciences; School of Mathematical and Computer Science; School of Health, Environment & Sustainability Studies; School of Humanities & Social Sciences; and School of Economics.[3]

Aachievements

Professor Satishchandra B. Ogale, Director of Research Institute for Sustainable Energy (RISE) at TCG-CREST, Kolkata has been selected to receive the prestigious 2026 TWAS Award in Physics, Astronomy, and Space Sciences. This award, conferred by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).[6]
