Avrieux (Savoyard: Avrou[3]) is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.

[edit]Avrieux has a humid continental climate (Köppen climate classification Dfb). The average annual temperature in Avrieux is 8.5 °C (47.3 °F). The average annual rainfall is 600.4 mm (23.64 in) with November as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in July, at around 18.0 °C (64.4 °F), and lowest in January, at around −0.9 °C (30.4 °F). The highest temperature ever recorded in Avrieux was 36.0 °C (96.8 °F) on 19 July 2023; the coldest temperature ever recorded was −21.6 °C (−6.9 °F) on 9 January 1985.
