Christian Hock (born 11 April 1970) is a German former professional footballer and coach. He played as a midfielder, most notably for 1. FSV Mainz 05 over nearly a decade, and later worked in coaching and sports management roles in German football. He stands at 173 cm and commonly wore shirt number 11. Hock began his senior career with Viktoria Aschaffenburg and made one Bundesliga appearance for Borussia Mönchengladbach before joining Mainz 05, where he played from 1994 to 2003, making around 246 appearances and scoring 27 goals primarily in the 2. Bundesliga. He concluded his playing career with Kickers Offenbach in the Regionalliga from 2003 to 2005 before retiring. After retiring, Hock transitioned into coaching with spells at SV Wehen Wiesbaden (2006–2008 and briefly in 2015), Rot-Weiss Ahlen (2009–2010), FC 08 Homburg (2010–2011), KSV Hessen Kassel (2011), and others including Schott Mainz (2012–2013). He has also held administrative roles, including sports coordinator at 1. FC Magdeburg (June 2022 to May 2023) and managing director for sports (Geschäftsführer Sport) at Kickers Offenbach from May 2023 until his contract was terminated on 29 September 2025 amid poor results. Coaching and management career

Hock entered coaching after retirement. He managed SV Wehen Wiesbaden from 2006 to 2008 and briefly in 2015. Other coaching positions included Rot-Weiss Ahlen (2009–2010), FC 08 Homburg (2010–2011), KSV Hessen Kassel (2011), and Schott Mainz (2012–2013). In later years, he took on administrative roles, serving as sports coordinator at 1. FC Magdeburg from June 2022 to May 2023. In May 2023, he was appointed Geschäftsführer Sport at Kickers Offenbach, a club where he had previously played.
