Plot

[edit]

In Fatal Truth, San Francisco Police Department Homicide Inspector Kate Gillespie faces a career-threatening crisis after receiving a frantic phone call from an informant. Pulled from her office, she arrives at a clandestine meeting just in time to witness the informer being shot dead by another police officer. This incident turns Kate into a target as she delves into a treacherous path of dirty deals, corruption, and escalating violence. The investigation unexpectedly draws her into her own troubled family history and exposes dark secrets within the police department. As Kate navigates a "blue wall of silence," she realizes she is being set up for a significant fall by a relentless killer hidden in plain sight.[8][7]
