Arnold Schwarzenegger, then governor of California, launched the California Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sport. During his address, Schwarzenegger paid special tribute to Jack LaLanne and credited him with demonstrating the benefits of fitness and a healthy lifestyle for 75 years.
