In May 2022, Schlatt announced that he had acquired the gaming supplement company GamerSupps, a transaction reported by industry coverage at the time. He was a co-owner of the online content organisation One True King from 2021 until his departure in December 2022. Schlatt released his debut studio album, A Very 1999 Christmas, on December 1, 2024.

As of October, 2025, Schlatt maintains a multi-platform presence with a large audience across streaming, video, and podcast formats. His primary YouTube channel, jschlattLIVE, has approximately 4.6 million subscribers and hundreds of millions of views, and his Twitch channel schlatt has roughly 2.2 million followers. He also appears on several secondary YouTube channels and podcasts (including Big guy, The Weekly Slap, and Sleep Deprived), and has released music and a full-length album, A Very 1999 Christmas, distributed on YouTube and streaming services.

Schlatt has a combined following of over 15 million subscribers and over 5.6 billion views on YouTube. He also has nearly 3 million combined followers on Twitch.

Schlatt began creating YouTube videos in 2013, initially uploading Call of Duty gameplay videos alongside friends. The original jschlatt channel was created in July 2013, with content evolving from gaming to include comedic sketches, reaction videos, internet commentary, and satirical takes on memes and trending topics. On February 6, 2018, Schlatt uploaded a 27-second meme video titled "elon r u ok", which quickly became one of his most viewed uploads and significantly boosted his public profile.

Schlatt began streaming on Twitch in June 2018, playing a wide variety of games, including Cities: Skylines, Minecraft, and indie simulation titles. On March 1, 2019, he joined SMPLive, a private Minecraft server, which significantly increased his audience and subscriber count.

During the SMPLive series, Schlatt kept his face hidden, only revealing it after defeating the server's final boss in a video uploaded on September 26, 2019.

Schlatt went on an unannounced hiatus from streaming in December 2019, which lasted until December 16, 2021, when he released a video titled "i'm quitting youtube" announcing his return to content creation and Twitch streaming.

In 2020, Schlatt briefly joined the Dream SMP, a Minecraft roleplay server, participating in collaborative events and storylines. Although his time on the server was limited, it helped consolidate his reputation in the online gaming community.
