[1] Born on 29 October 2003 in Victoria, she was selected by Carlton with the 11th pick in the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft, joining the club she had supported since childhood. [1]
Her breakout season came in 2023, when she played all 10 matches, ranked fifth in the league for average tackles, and received an All-Australian squad nomination along with Carlton's Coaches Award. [1] In 2024, Sherar delivered a dominant performance by playing every game, being named among Carlton's best players in each match, and winning the club's Best and Fairest award with 109 votes.
