Key Information
Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe (ⓘ; born 1 May 1994), professionally known as Kizz Daniel (formerly Kiss Daniel),[2] is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in 2014 with his debut single, "Woju".[3] He signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013, but left the label following a publicized contract dispute and court case.[4] He founded "Flyboy I.N.C" record label in November 2017.[5]
On 3 February 2023, he was announced by Audiomack alongside Snazzy the Optimist, Asake and 1ucid as the top trending and most streamed artistes.[6][7]
Early life and education
[edit]Kizz Daniel was born as Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.[8] He hails from Abeokuta North local government area. He attended Abeokuta Grammar School and graduated from Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, in 2013, with a degree in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology (Water Engineering).[9] While in university, he decided to pursue music as a career alongside his studies.[10][11][12]
Career
[edit]In May 2015, Kiss Daniel released a third follow up single, "Laye," on his birthday, along with a video two weeks later which was shot in different locations in the eastern part of Africa and was directed by AJE Films.[13] It won Best Video By A New Artiste at the 2015 Nigerian Music Video Awards.[14] In April 2016, Kiss Daniel released the single "Mama" as the fourth and final single off his debut studio album New Era.[15] "Mama" became the most googled song in Nigeria in 2016.[16] It was ranked #2 on 360nobs's list of the Biggest Songs of 2016.[17] The song received positive reception from music critics. Jim Donnett of tooXclusive described "Mama" as a "typical love song", "executed with the styling of a banging turn up jam".[18] The accompanying music video for "Mama" was released on 20 April 2016. Directed by Aje Filmworks, the video shows a car crash caused by the lead character using her phone while driving.[19] It was inspired by Kiss Daniel's own car accident in January of that year, which he survived.[20][21] The week of 8 May 2016, "Mama" debuted at #4 on the Playdata #RadioTopTen charts, a weekly airplay chart that measured songs being played on the radio and television stations in Nigeria.[22] The following week, it became the most played song on the radio, and managed to climb to the #1 position. It stayed at #1 for four consecutive weeks before being displaced to the #2 position by Phyno's "Fada Fada".[23][24] At The Headies 2016, the single received a nomination for Best Pop Single while Young Jonn won Producer of the Year for it.[25][26] The song also won Hottest Single of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.[27] Furthermore, the single received nominations for Viewer's Choice at the 2016 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival,[28] Best Artiste/Duo/Group In African RnB & Soul at the 2016 All Africa Music Awards,[29] and Certified Banger of the Year at the 2017 tooXclusive Awards.[30] On 14 May 2016, Daniel released his first studio album New Era.[31][32]
After his exit from his former label, G-Worldwide, he went to float his own personal imprint Flyboy I.N.C. where he signed two acts, Demmie Vee and Philkeyz. Kizz Daniel was featured on Demmie Vee's debut single entitled "You Go Wait?" in 2018.[33] 2018 was considered a good year for Daniel, as he featured Wizkid on his song "For You"[34] and Davido on another single "One Ticket" which hit the charts within 24 hours of its release. On 30 November 2018, Kizz Daniel released his second studio album and his first under Flyboy I.N.C titled No Bad Songz. The album contained 20 songs including the pre-released "One Ticket" which he featured Davido on. Other features on the album included Nasty C, Diamond Platnumz, Philkeyz, Demmie Vee, DJ Xclusive, Wretch 32, Diplo and Sarkodie. The album received positive reviews from music lovers, it debuted at No. 55 on the US iTunes Chart and rose to number 1 on the Billboard World Albums chart within 24 hours of its release. Record label dispute and name change
[edit]In November 2017, Kizz Daniel announced his split from his record label, G-Worldwide, and created his own label called Flyboy I.N.C.[44] He was sued to court by the former record label but was not found guilty for any of the crimes he was accused of.[45][46]
In May 2018, Kizz Daniel announced that he had changed his stage name from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel, a name that immediately reflected on his social media accounts. New Spotify and Apple Music accounts were also created immediately with the name Kizz Daniel, with his new songs featured.[47][48]
In June 2018, Kizz Daniel's former record label, G-Worldwide, made a move to own the rights to the name "Kizz Daniel" and further advised the singer to desist from using the name or face legal consequences in a press release sent out to media houses.[49] In October 2018, Daniel responded to the suit and statement made by his former record label, G-Worldwide, through his own lawyer.[50] In April 2022, Emperor Geezy and Daniel settled their disputes, outside the court in a viral video tagged #Peace&Love.[51]

View on GrokipediaEarly life and education
Childhood and family background
Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, professionally known as Kizz Daniel, was born on May 1, 1994, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.[2] He hails from Abeokuta North Local Government Area and grew up in a family with strong artistic leanings that shaped his early exposure to creative pursuits.[5][6] Kizz Daniel's father, Kolawole Uthman Anidugbe, was a painter, art lecturer, and avid music enthusiast who introduced him to Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, fostering an appreciation for Nigerian musical heritage from a young age.[6][7] His mother, whose profession remains less documented, emphasized conventional career paths like banking or medicine for her children, reflecting the family's balanced approach to ambition and stability.[6] As the second of five siblings—including three brothers and one sister—Kizz Daniel shared a close-knit household where familial influences played a key role in his personal development.[8][2] From childhood, Kizz Daniel displayed a natural affinity for music, though he initially viewed it more as a passion than a profession.[6] His early inspirations drew from local Nigerian genres such as Fuji, Juju, and Galala, with artists like Marvellous Benjy, Danfo Driver, and Zule Zoo leaving a lasting impact on his sound.[6] This foundation transitioned into his formal education at local institutions.Academic pursuits
Kizz Daniel completed his secondary education at Abeokuta Grammar School in Abeokuta, Ogun State.[2] Following this, he enrolled at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), where he focused on water resources engineering through a degree program in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology.[5] He graduated in 2013 with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.37, falling just short of first-class honors and demonstrating strong academic discipline throughout his studies.[9] Reflecting on his academic path, Kizz Daniel has shared that he did not initially select the water resources field himself, describing it as a degree that "chose" him amid his university experience.[6] His family provided crucial support during this period, with his father funding his initial foray into music recording as a post-graduation challenge to either succeed in the industry or pursue further studies abroad.[10]Career
Musical beginnings and early releases
After graduating from Abeokuta's Federal University of Agriculture, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, who would become known as Kizz Daniel, relocated to Lagos in 2013 to dedicate himself fully to a music career.[2] This move marked his transition from academic pursuits in water resources management and agrometeorology to the competitive Nigerian music industry, where he began recording demos and networking within the burgeoning Afrobeats scene.[2] In 2013, Anidugbe was discovered through a recommendation from labelmate Sugarboy and signed a multi-year contract with G-Worldwide Entertainment, adopting the stage name Kiss Daniel. The deal, a 360 agreement encompassing recordings, publishing, and touring, provided the platform for his professional launch under the label's roster. His debut single, "Shoye," arrived in May 2014, produced by A1, introducing his melodic Afrobeats style with Yoruba-infused lyrics that resonated in local clubs and radio rotations.[11] Building on this foundation, Kiss Daniel released his breakthrough track "Woju" on September 1, 2014, produced by DJ Coublon and distributed through G-Worldwide.[12] The mid-tempo hi-life pop song, blending live instrumentation with catchy hooks, quickly generated underground buzz among Afrobeats enthusiasts in Lagos and beyond, circulating through mixtapes and early streaming platforms.[13] A remix featuring Tiwa Savage and Davido followed in February 2015, amplifying its reach via collaborative star power and further embedding Kiss Daniel in the genre's emerging ecosystem through features on label-affiliated tracks.[14] These initial releases established his songwriting prowess and vocal delivery, fostering a grassroots following before wider commercial traction.Breakthrough and rise to prominence
Kizz Daniel's breakthrough came with the release of his debut single "Woju" in 2014, which quickly became a massive hit across Africa. The track topped charts in Nigeria and several other African countries, including Ghana and South Africa, holding the number one position on platforms like iTunes Nigeria and various radio airplay lists throughout 2014 and into 2015. Its infectious Afrobeats rhythm and relatable lyrics about love and commitment resonated widely, propelling the song to over 10 million streams and views within months of release. Building on this momentum, Kizz Daniel followed up with a series of successful singles in 2015 and 2016 that solidified his place in the Afrobeats scene. Tracks like "Laye," released in late 2015, celebrated Nigerian culture and hustle with upbeat production, earning widespread radio play and peaking at number one on the TurnTable Top 50 chart. "Mama," a heartfelt tribute to his mother, and "Rude Boy," known for its dancehall-infused energy, further showcased his versatility and songwriting prowess, each garnering millions of streams and establishing his signature blend of catchy hooks and emotional depth. In May 2016, Kizz Daniel released his debut album New Era, a 20-track project that marked his full emergence as a leading Afrobeats artist. The album featured collaborations with prominent figures like M.I Abaga on "Pour Me Water" and Empire Mates Entertainment's Olamide, blending pop, R&B, and traditional African sounds to critical acclaim. It debuted strongly on Nigerian charts and was praised for its cohesive production and Kizz Daniel's vocal range, contributing to his growing fanbase across the continent. This period also saw Kizz Daniel gaining international exposure through features on major music platforms. He appeared on MTV Base's Cypher Sessions and was frequently highlighted on Trace Naija's top video countdowns, which helped expand his reach beyond Nigeria to audiences in Europe and the diaspora.Record label dispute and name change
In late 2017, tensions between Kizz Daniel and his record label G-Worldwide Entertainment intensified over disputes concerning contract terms, royalty payments, and creative control, stemming from the artist's desire for greater autonomy following the success of tracks like "Yeba."[15] On November 13, 2017, Kizz Daniel publicly announced his departure from the label and the launch of his own imprint, Flyboy I.N.C., citing irreconcilable differences in management and financial arrangements.[16][15] G-Worldwide responded aggressively by filing a lawsuit in December 2017, alleging breach of a seven-year contract signed in 2014 and seeking N500 million in damages; the label obtained an interim injunction that barred Kizz Daniel from performing live shows, releasing new music, or engaging in any professional activities outside their agreement.[17][18] This restriction severely limited his career momentum during a peak period. The legal conflict persisted into 2018, with G-Worldwide securing additional court orders in July 2018 that explicitly prohibited Kizz Daniel from performing at scheduled events or distributing songs recorded under their banner, further escalating the standoff.[19][20] After months of protracted litigation in the Federal High Court in Lagos, including multiple adjournments and appeals, Kizz Daniel achieved a successful exit from G-Worldwide in December 2018, allowing him to regain control over his career without further contractual encumbrances.[21] In May 2018, to circumvent ongoing trademark claims by the label on his original stage name "Kiss Daniel," he rebranded to "Kizz Daniel," securing full ownership of the new moniker and resolving intellectual property conflicts.[22][23]Independent era and major albums
Following the resolution of his legal dispute with G-Worldwide Entertainment, Kizz Daniel founded his own record label, Flyboy Inc., in November 2017, marking the beginning of his independent era and enabling full ownership of his future masters.[24] The name change from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel in May 2018 served as a fresh start, aligning with this newfound autonomy.[25] Flyboy Inc.'s debut major release was Kizz Daniel's second studio album, No Bad Songz, issued on November 30, 2018. The 20-track project featured collaborations with artists including Iyanya, Demmie-Vee, and Philkeyz, and spawned hits like "Madu" and "Yeba," which emphasized his signature blend of Afrobeats and melodic hooks. The album achieved commercial success, solidifying his transition to independence while showcasing expanded creative control.[25] In 2019, Kizz Daniel released a series of singles under the label, such as "Poko," "Bolanle," and "True," which maintained his chart presence and experimented with upbeat rhythms and romantic themes. These tracks demonstrated his ability to sustain momentum without a full-length project, further highlighting Flyboy Inc.'s role in direct artist-label synergy.[26] Kizz Daniel's third studio album, King of Love, followed on August 25, 2020, a concise eight-track effort distributed via Flyboy Inc. and Empire. Featuring introspective songs on love and perseverance, it included notable singles "Lie" and "Weigh," both of which garnered widespread radio play and streaming acclaim across Africa.[27] The independent phase continued with the Barnabas EP, released on November 19, 2021, through Flyboy Inc. and Empire Distribution. This seven-track collection incorporated diverse influences, with guest spots from The Cavemen and others, and the 2022 single "Buga" (featuring Tekno) emerging as a breakout hit that topped charts in Nigeria and gained international traction via viral challenges. Under Flyboy Inc., Kizz Daniel has increasingly handled aspects of production and songwriting, retaining complete ownership of masters for all post-2017 releases to prioritize long-term artistic and financial independence.[25]Recent activities and hiatus
In 2023, Kizz Daniel released the single "Shu-Peru," which debuted with an official music video directed by TG Omori and quickly gained traction on streaming platforms.[28] Later that year, in December, he followed up with "Too Busy To Be Bae," accompanied by a lyric video that highlighted his signature Afrobeats rhythm and themes of romantic independence.[29] In June 2025, Kizz Daniel reclaimed the master rights to his debut album New Era and hit singles including "Yeba" from his former label G-Worldwide Entertainment.[30] Entering 2025, Kizz Daniel continued his output with the release of the single "To Be A Man" on August 28, featuring both an official music video and lyric video produced under his FlyBoy INC label in partnership with EMPIRE.[31] The track, which explores masculinity and personal resilience, marked his second major release of the year following the "Uncle K: Lemon Chase" EP earlier in 2025.[32] In June 2025, Kizz Daniel announced a hiatus from new music recordings to prioritize his family and personal life, citing the need to balance studio commitments with relationships after feedback from loved ones. Despite the break, he committed to ongoing live performances, including dates on his "Afro Classic World Tour" across Europe and Africa, and teased the eventual release of over 600 unreleased tracks from his catalog.[33] As of 2025, Kizz Daniel's net worth is estimated between $9 million and $12 million, derived primarily from music streams, tours, and endorsements, with significant contributions from business ventures such as real estate investments in Lagos, including multiple high-value properties.[34][35]Artistry
Musical style and influences
Kizz Daniel's music is rooted in Afrobeats, which he skillfully fuses with elements of pop, R&B, and contemporary Nigerian highlife to create a versatile and accessible sound.[36][37] His signature style features smooth, melodic vocals paired with catchy hooks and infectious rhythms that often incorporate relatable lyrics exploring themes of love, relationships, and everyday life experiences.[36] These elements contribute to his ability to craft anthemic tracks that resonate widely, blending upbeat energy with emotional depth.[38] Over the course of his career, Kizz Daniel's sound has evolved from the high-energy party anthems of his early releases, such as the Afropop banger "Woju," to more introspective and personal explorations in later works.[38] This progression is particularly evident in his 2021 EP Barnabas, where deeper, reflective melodies dominate tracks like "Addict" and "Eh God," shifting focus toward vulnerability and life lessons while retaining his rhythmic foundation.[39] His style continued to develop in subsequent releases, including the 2025 EP Uncle K: Lemon Chase, which features tracks like "Al-Jannah" exploring personal loss and resilience, and the single "To Be A Man" (August 2025), emphasizing raw emotional introspection within Afrobeats frameworks.[40][41] His artistic influences draw heavily from Nigerian musical heritage, including the Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti—whose music he encountered through his father's fandom—and traditional Yoruba genres like Fuji, Apala, and Juju.[6][42] Contemporary inspirations include fellow Nigerian artists such as 2Baba and Wizkid, alongside international figures like Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, whose melodic structures and flamboyant styles have shaped his approach to songwriting and performance.[10]Collaborations and songwriting
Kizz Daniel has engaged in several high-profile collaborations throughout his career, often partnering with fellow Afrobeats artists to blend infectious rhythms and cultural narratives. One of his most successful joint efforts is the 2022 single "Buga (Lo Lo Lo)" with Tekno, released on May 4 via Flyboy INC and Empire, which became a viral hit celebrated for its celebratory vibe and dance challenge on social media.[43] Earlier, he featured on the remix of his breakout track "Woju" alongside Tiwa Savage and Davido in 2015, amplifying its appeal across Nigeria and beyond through layered vocals and harmonious production.[44] In 2019, Daniel collaborated with Tiwa Savage and Young Jonn on "Ello Baby," a lively track distributed by Empire that showcased his ability to merge melodic hooks with upbeat percussion. More recent collaborations include the 2024 "Twe Twe" remix with Davido, which expanded the track's global reach through dynamic vocal interplay, and "Pano Tona" with Adekunle Gold, highlighting shared themes of love and success.[45] In 2025, he featured on "Police" alongside Angelique Kidjo and Johnny Drille, fusing Afrobeats with world music elements to address social issues.[46] These partnerships reflect his ongoing emphasis on mutual artistic growth. As a songwriter, Kizz Daniel holds credits on a substantial portion of his discography, including self-penned hits like "Woju," which he wrote entirely to capture themes of longing and romance, propelling his rise in 2014.[3] He has also co-written tracks for other artists, such as contributions to BNXN's "Gwagwalada" featuring Seyi Vibez in 2023, where his lyrical input added emotional depth to the Afrobeats structure.[47] His writing portfolio extends to over 100 songs listed on platforms like Genius, many of which he composed or co-composed, emphasizing relatable storytelling in Afrobeats.[48] Daniel approaches collaborations selectively, prioritizing partners with innovative sounds that foster mutual artistic growth within the Afrobeats genre. In a 2024 interview, he expressed interest in working with artists open to experimentation while maintaining unique identities, stating, "I would like to collaborate with artists who have a unique sound, but still are keen on experimentation."[37] This philosophy is evident in his shift toward more features post-2023, after years of solo dominance, as he noted feeling "selfish" releasing hits alone and seeking to expand through joint projects.[45] In his later works, Daniel has taken greater involvement in production, experimenting with vocal effects like Auto-Tune to enhance melodic delivery and create polished, radio-ready tracks. This is highlighted in tutorials analyzing his style, where Auto-Tune is used to add vibrato and harmony layers, as seen in songs like "Cough (Odo)" from 2022 and continued in 2025 releases such as "To Be A Man," adapting to global trends while preserving Afrobeats' core.[49][40]Personal life
Family and relationships
Kizz Daniel, whose real name is Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, is a father to twin sons, Jalil and Jelani, born on May 1, 2021.[50] He initially welcomed triplets—Jamal, Jalil, and Jelani—but tragically lost Jamal four days after birth, an experience he shared publicly to honor his promise to his sons.[51] The twins' mother is his wife, Mjay Anidugbe, whom he revealed in 2024 after keeping their marriage private for several years; the couple tied the knot around 2020.[52] In April 2025, Kizz Daniel announced that he and Mjay are expecting another child, to be named Morire.[53] Prior to his marriage, Kizz Daniel maintained a low profile regarding his romantic life, stating that he chose to keep relationships private long before achieving fame to avoid public scrutiny.[54] He has not disclosed details about earlier partners, consistently prioritizing discretion in personal matters. In June 2025, Kizz Daniel announced a hiatus from recording new music to dedicate more time to his family, citing the need to balance his career with fatherhood and marital responsibilities.[55] As a member of the Yoruba ethnic group from Abeokuta, Ogun State, he upholds cultural traditions that emphasize strong family bonds and shielding children from media exposure, often avoiding sharing photos or details about Jalil and Jelani to protect their privacy.[56]Philanthropy and public image
Kizz Daniel has engaged in philanthropic efforts primarily centered on education, notably granting a full scholarship to a female fan, Funmilayo, during a December 2023 concert in Lagos, covering her entire university education at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).[57] This gesture, made after the fan expressed her desire to pursue higher studies during the performance, highlighted his commitment to supporting aspiring youth in accessing education.[58] In the public eye, Kizz Daniel is often portrayed as a resilient figure, particularly following his 2018 contract dispute with former label G-Worldwide Entertainment, where he navigated legal challenges and rebranded independently to sustain his career trajectory.[59] His humility is reflected in interviews where he emphasizes personal growth and gratitude amid success, such as crediting his roots and fan support for his achievements.[10] On social media, he has actively engaged with topics like mental health, sharing candid messages about the pressures of being a "go-to" person for others and advocating for therapy in his 2025 track "To Be a Man," which encourages men to seek emotional support.[60] Kizz Daniel's public image has not been without minor controversies; in August 2022, he was briefly arrested in Tanzania for failing to perform at a scheduled concert due to a band member's visa issues, despite receiving full payment, but was released the same day after negotiations.[61] The incident, stemming from logistical challenges, was resolved amicably, with his management issuing an apology to fans.[62] In June 2025, following the release of his EP Uncle K: Lemon Chase, Kizz Daniel announced a temporary hiatus from recording new music to focus on his family. Although he briefly stepped back, he resumed his music career later that year with releases such as "To Be A Man" in August.[63][64]Discography
Studio albums
Kizz Daniel's studio albums represent key milestones in his career, highlighting his growth from a rising Afrobeats star to a versatile artist blending pop, R&B, and traditional Nigerian sounds. His discography emphasizes self-produced projects under Flyboy I.N.C., often featuring collaborations and themes of love, resilience, and cultural pride. His debut studio album, New Era, was released on May 14, 2016, comprising 20 tracks that introduced his signature smooth vocals and infectious hooks. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Nigerian iTunes chart and reached No. 8 on the Billboard World Albums chart, solidifying his breakthrough in the Nigerian music scene.[5][65][66] Following a high-profile label dispute with G-Worldwide Entertainment, Kizz Daniel independently released his second studio album, No Bad Songz, on November 30, 2018. This 20-track project showcased his creative freedom, with standout singles like "For You" featuring Wizkid and "Madu," earning praise for its bold production and emotional depth. The album underscored his ability to maintain commercial momentum post-conflict, topping charts in Nigeria and gaining international streams.[5][67][68] Kizz Daniel's third studio album, King of Love, arrived on June 25, 2020, with 17 tracks centered on romantic narratives and Afro-pop innovation. Critics hailed it as the standout Afro-pop release of the year in Nigeria, noting its polished sound and tracks like "Jaho" and "Ada" for their replay value. The album received strong commercial reception, contributing to his growing global fanbase amid the pandemic.[69][70] In 2023, Maverick marked his fourth studio effort, released on July 28 with 20 tracks exploring diverse genres from upbeat Afrobeats to introspective ballads. Featuring artists like Tekno on the hit "Buga," the album amassed over 370 million streams on Spotify as of November 2025, reflecting its widespread appeal and Kizz Daniel's matured artistry.[71][72][73]Extended plays
Kizz Daniel has utilized extended plays as a strategic format to deliver concise, experimental collections between his full-length albums, allowing for rapid artistic exploration and fan engagement without the scope of a complete studio project. His EPs often feature a mix of Afrobeats, R&B, and pop influences, showcasing collaborations and thematic depth that preview broader musical evolutions.[74] The singer's debut EP, Barnabas, released on November 19, 2021, via Flyboy INC and Empire Distribution, marked a pivotal independent release following his 2020 album King of Love. Comprising seven tracks—including "Pour Me Water," "Addict," "Eh God (Barnabas)," "Oshe" featuring The Cavemen., "Burn," "Lie," and "Skin" featuring Kelvyn Colt—this project experimented with introspective lyrics and rhythmic versatility, blending high-energy anthems with vulnerable ballads. It debuted at number one on Nigeria's Official Top 100 Albums Chart and amassed over 200 million streams on Spotify by September 2025, underscoring its enduring commercial success and role in reestablishing Kizz Daniel's momentum post-label independence.[75][76][77] In 2024, Kizz Daniel followed with TZA (Thankz Alot), a four-track EP released on March 11 through the same imprints, serving as a bridge to his subsequent full-length efforts by emphasizing gratitude-themed narratives amid upbeat production. Tracks like "Sooner," "Showa," "Too Busy To Be Bae," and "Twe Twe" highlighted his signature melodic hooks and dancefloor appeal, with "Showa" topping Nigeria's Apple Music Top 100 Songs Chart. The EP debuted at number one on the Official Top 100 Albums Chart, generating 4.35 million on-demand streams in its first week and reflecting his growing international traction.[78][77][79] Kizz Daniel's most recent EP, Uncle K: Lemon Chase, arrived on May 30, 2025, via Flyboy INC and Empire, positioning itself as a vibrant interlude after 2023's Maverick by infusing playful, summery vibes with star-studded features. The seven-track set includes "Black Girl Magic" featuring BNXN, "Peace I Chose" featuring Runtown, "Titi" featuring Fola, "Secure" featuring Zlatan, "Al-Jannah" featuring Bella Shmurda, and others, exploring themes of love, resilience, and celebration through eclectic beats. It debuted at number one on Apple Music Nigeria's Top Albums Chart, earned 1.03 million Spotify streams on its first day, and reached number 20 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, affirming its global impact and Kizz Daniel's ability to sustain chart dominance with EP formats.[80][81][82][83]Singles as lead artist
Kizz Daniel's discography as a lead artist features a series of infectious Afrobeats tracks that have consistently topped charts and amassed millions of streams across platforms, showcasing his ability to blend catchy melodies with relatable lyrics. His breakthrough came with the 2014 single "Woju," which marked his debut under G-Worldwide Entertainment and quickly became a nationwide sensation, propelling him into the spotlight as one of Nigeria's emerging talents.[84] In 2017, "Yeba" followed as a high-energy party anthem from his album No Bad Songz, achieving No. 1 status on Nigerian charts and solidifying his reputation for producing dancefloor staples.[85] The 2022 release "Buga" (featuring Tekno), issued independently via Flyboy INC and Empire and later included on the 2023 album Maverick, debuted at No. 1 on the TurnTable Top 50 and emerged as the year's most-streamed song in Nigeria with 57.9 million equivalent streams, while surpassing 142 million streams on Boomplay alone and exceeding 200 million across major platforms.[86][87] More recent efforts include the 2023 single "Shu-Peru," a vibrant track from his album Maverick that highlighted his continued evolution in production and vocal delivery.[28] In late 2023, "Too Busy To Be Bae" arrived as a smooth, introspective cut later included on his 2024 EP TZA (Thankz Alot), reflecting themes of ambition and romance with its laid-back vibe.[29][88] In 2025, following the Uncle K: Lemon Chase EP, Kizz Daniel released additional singles including "lost" and "Police" (featuring Angelique Kidjo and Johnny Drille), exploring introspective and social themes, and "To Be A Man" in August, emphasizing personal empowerment.[89][32] Kizz Daniel has earned multiple certifications from TurnTable Charts for his lead singles, including 5× Platinum awards for tracks like "Twe Twe" (featuring Davido) and "Gwagwalada" (with BNXN and Seyi Vibez), underscoring his commercial dominance in the Nigerian music market.[90]| Title | Year | Album/EP | Peak (Nigeria TurnTable) | Certifications (TurnTable) |
