Marian Zidaru (born 22 August 1956) is a Romanian sculptor and painter.[1]

Biography
[edit]Born in Balotești, Ilfov County, he graduated in 1977 from the Fine Arts High School in Craiova. From 1977 to 1981, he attended the Nicolae Grigorescu Fine Arts Institute, where he had Vladimir Predescu and Marin Iliescu as teachers. From 1991 to 1995, he was an assistant in the Sculpture Department of the Bucharest National University of Arts.[2]
In January 2020, he was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit, Knight rank, by President Klaus Iohannis.[2][3]
