Metrotrans is a bus operated by TransJakarta. Introduced in 2017^{[citation needed]}, replacing aging MetroMini and Kopaja buses, The Metrotrans bus design is based on European-styled low floor bus. A newer, electric powered bus joined the line up since 2022. Those electric buses are from Chinese companies such as BYD, Skywell, Golden Dragon, and Zhongtong. Unlike the high-floor Transjakarta buses, Metrotrans and Minitrans does not have a designated Women's Area, so male passengers are still allowed to sit in the front area.^{[citation needed]}
