Eduvos
Eduvos that is formerly Pearson Institute of Higher Education and Midrand Graduate Institute (MGI) and Computer Training Institute (CTI) is a South African private higher education institution that is headquartered in Midrand, Gauteng Province and that has 12 campuses across South Africa. It offers bachelor's degrees in commerce, information technology, law, social sciences, creative arts, communications and bio sciences. It is also offers a number of postgraduate qualifications including Bachelor of Arts Honours in Graphic Design, Bachelor of Science Honours in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Business Management.
The Midrand Graduate Institute (MGI) was founded in 1989 as Midrand Campus, later known as Midrand University. It formed a partnership with CTI Education Group in 2006. CTI started in 1979 as the Computer Training College, later known as the Computer Training Institute (CTI).
In November 2010, Pearson Education acquired a 75% shareholding in CTI, with regulatory approval in 2011. Pearson completed the 100% CTI acquisition (including MGI) in November 2013. In 2019, CTI and MGI were officially rebranded as the Pearson Institute of Higher Education. As the Pearson Institute of Higher Education, it grew to 12 campuses in South Africa.
In November 2020, Pearson announced the disposal of its interests in the Pearson Institute of Higher Education (PIHE) in South Africa to a consortium of Stellenbosch Graduate Institute (SGI) and EXEO Capital, now known as the NetEd group. This transition culminated in the rebranding of the institution to its current name, Eduvos.
In 2023, Eduvos welcomed a record number of 9 800 first-year students.
Eduvos has 12 campuses located across South Africa, namely the Midrand, Pretoria, Bedfordview, Vanderbijlpark, Potchefstroom, Mbombela, Durban, East London, Nelson Mandela Bay, Tyger Valley (Bellville), Mowbray and Bloemfontein campuses. Each campus offers different student activities and clubs.
Eduvos also offers online and distance learning options. Eduvos Online is a national structure that virtually provides support to enrolled students attending remotely, online, or distance.
Eduvos offers over 20 accredited qualifications, internationally recognised in four faculties.
