Ningbo Rockets
The Ningbo Fubang Rockets Basketball Club, commonly known as the Ningbo Rockets or Ningbo Fubang, is a Chinese professional men's basketball club based in Ningbo, Zhejiang. The club competes in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and, under its current naming-rights agreement, plays as Ningbo Twinwash (Chinese: 宁波町渥; pinyin: Níngbō Tīngwò).
Ningbo Fubang Men's Basketball Club Co., Ltd. was established by Ningbo Fubang Holdings in August 2018. Local sports authorities regard the former Bayi Fubang (Ningbo) Men's Basketball Club as its predecessor. The club completed its registration with the Chinese Basketball Association and entered the CBA ahead of the 2021–22 season.
The Bayi Rockets moved their CBA home games to Ningbo in 1998. On 22 December 2006, Ningbo Fubang Holdings and the Bayi sports organisation jointly established Bayi Fubang (Ningbo) Men's Basketball Club.
Ningbo Fubang Holdings established Ningbo Fubang Men's Basketball Club Co., Ltd. as a wholly owned subsidiary in August 2018. After the Chinese Basketball Association announced in October 2020 that the Bayi men's and women's teams would no longer compete in the CBA and WCBA, Fubang began organising a new professional team and applied for admission to the CBA.
On 16 July 2021, the club announced that it had completed its registration with the Chinese Basketball Association and the CBA company and had formally received a league berth. Its new crest retained the rocket motif associated with the Bayi club, replacing the Chinese characters for “Bayi” with “Ningbo” and changing the principal colours from dark red to dark blue and sky blue.
In September 2021, the club signed a naming-rights agreement with Yongxing Securities and entered its inaugural season as Ningbo Yongxing Securities. Former Bayi player Li Ke was appointed as the club's first head coach, while Zhang Biao became its first captain.
The Rockets played their first CBA regular-season game on 17 October 2021, losing 105–92 away to the Shanxi Loongs. They finished their inaugural campaign with a 3–35 record and placed 19th in the regular season.
The home-appliance brand Twinwash became the club's naming sponsor in 2022, and the team has competed under the name Ningbo Twinwash since the 2022–23 season.
