Richard Muscat is an Australian racing driver known for his rapid early success in Porsche-based series and GT racing, including multiple championship titles, as well as his participation in Supercars Championship endurance events. Born on 9 July 1992 in Melbourne, Victoria, he transitioned from go-karting to car racing in 2012. Muscat made an immediate impact by winning the Porsche 944 Challenge Series as a rookie, securing 13 race victories and five pole positions in his debut season. He followed this with the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Australia title in 2013, including the Jim Richards Endurance Trophy, and claimed the Australian GT Championship in 2014 along with the Sir Stirling Moss Trophy and a victory in the Gulf 12 Hour race. After finishing sixth in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia in 2015 while participating in the Porsche International Cup Scholarship, he shifted to touring car competition with Garry Rogers Motorsport in the Dunlop Super2 Series, where he placed eighth in 2016 and tenth in 2017. He debuted in the Supercars Championship during the 2017 PIRTEK Enduro Cup, achieving seventh place at the Sandown 500, and continued in endurance events through 2019, including an eighth-place finish at the Bathurst 1000 in 2018 alongside James Golding. More recently, Muscat has competed in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Series with Leipert Motorsport.
