Sabakoe

Sabakoe is an Amerindian^[1] hamlet in Para District, Suriname,^[2] located near Zanderij.^[3][4] It is also the Surinamese name of little blue herons,^[5] which is used as the logo of Surinam Airways.^[6]

Sabakoe is located in the savannah along the Sabakoe Creek about an hour's walk from Berlijn.^[7][8] In 1904, it was described as a tiny hamlet.^[8] As of 2022, it is not listed as an official Amerindian settlement.^[9]
