Samia Abdel Rahim Maimani, a Saudi physician and neurosurgeon, was found dead in
her apartment in the United States. The cause of death was determined to be
suffocation. Her body was discovered inside a broken refrigerator on the street,
and her apartment was found to be ransacked. A building guard was arrested based
on crime scene fingerprints and sentenced to life imprisonment, although he
maintained his innocence. This marked the tragic end of Maimani's life and
career.
