Miyamoto hosted a Nintendo Direct in which he gave a tour of parts of the land, Super Nintendo World.
Following the death of Nintendo president Satoru Iwata in July 2015, Miyamoto was appointed the position of 'Creative Fellow' providing expert advice to Kimishima.
