Telkibánya is a village in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, in the Northern Hungary region of northeastern Hungary.

Key Information

Telkibánya was a mining town during the 15th century, known for its gold and silver. Its prosperity declined after a mining accident in the 17th century, but the area's natural environment and hiking trails make it a popular spot for recreation.[citation needed]
