Amir Zakaria (Persian: اميرذكريا)[a] is a village in Sis Rural District of the Central District in Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 952 in 284 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 781 people in 250 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 665 people in 229 households.[3]

Early life
Birth and family background
Amir Zakaria was born on December 1, 1994 in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic. His family later settled in Chad.[2][3]Education and early interests
Zakaria moved to Turkey in 2012 to study aeronautical engineering at the Turkish Aeronautical Association University (Türk Hava Kurumu Üniversitesi) in Ankara, where he graduated in 2019. He initially took Turkish language courses in Istanbul before settling in Ankara. His early content creation began during his university years, incorporating Turkish cultural elements into his videos.[2][4] His nickname "Çorumlu Amir" originated from a humorous incident during a university friend's wedding in Çorum, where locals jokingly declared him "from Çorum," leading to popular videos under that persona.[4]Career
