Career

Wall joined the Beijer group in 1958 and took chief responsibility for Beijerinvest's operations in 1964. As president of Stockholm-based Beijerinvest, he transformed the company from a small trading firm into a major conglomerate through acquisitions and restructuring, growing sales from $25 million in 1964 to $1.04 billion in 1975. He later held the position of chairman at Volvo from 1981 until his resignation effective September 1, 1983, after which he remained on the board as vice chairman. He also served as Chairman of Beijer Alma until 2016.

Philanthropy

Beyond his corporate achievements, Wall has focused on philanthropy. He chairs the Kjell and Märta Beijer Foundation, which promotes research on sustainable development and related fields, and the Anders Wall Foundation. He has supported initiatives such as the Anders Wall Scholarship at institutions including the Stockholm School of Economics and Hanken School of Economics, which award funding to entrepreneurial students. His contributions to Uppsala University include establishing the Anders Wall Professorship in Entrepreneurship in 2003, initiating long-term support for genetic research in the 1970s leading to the Beijer Laboratory, establishing a chair in artificial intelligence, and creating scholarships and awards for students.
