Upon returning to the United States, Ann began experimenting with different designs and materials, creating various prototypes of her baby carrier. She focused on creating a carrier that was safe, comfortable, and easy to use.

Ann created the first Snugli. The design focused on safety, comfort, and ease of use for both the baby and the parent. Initial versions were crafted at her kitchen table.

Ann extensively tested the Snugli with her own children and sought feedback from other parents. She made adjustments to the design based on their experiences and suggestions.

Building on the success of the Snugli, Ann continued to refine the design, resulting in the Weego. This version incorporated additional features and improvements based on customer feedback.
