Christi Passmore is an American former professional stock car racing driver known for her participation as a contestant on the 2005 Discovery Channel reality series Roush Racing: Driver X. The show followed aspiring drivers competing for a professional opportunity with Roush Racing in the NASCAR Busch Series, with Passmore among the participants. Born on May 27, 1982, she has competed in series such as the ARCA Re/Max Series and earlier in World of Outlaws and All Star Circuit of Champions. She appeared as herself in the series. Additional details on her racing career are available through motorsport databases.

Early life

Birth and early background

Christi Passmore was born on May 27, 1982, in Pryor, Oklahoma. She grew up in Pryor, Oklahoma, where she was raised around race tracks and sprint cars. Her father, Glen Passmore, had spent several years in auto racing, and at the early age of five, Passmore knew she wanted to follow in his footsteps. This early interest in motorsports influenced her path toward competitive racing.

Racing career

Sprint car racing (1998–2001)

Christi Passmore began her professional racing career competing in winged sprint cars from 1998 to 2001, racing primarily on dirt tracks in the central United States. During this period, she participated in several notable series, including the World of Outlaws (particularly in 2000), the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series, the NCRA Outlaw Sprint Car Series, and the All Star Circuit of Champions. She also raced internationally during winter seasons in New Zealand and Australia, where she achieved multiple feature victories and set a one-lap track record at Bay Park Speedway in Tauranga, New Zealand. Passmore qualified for the Knoxville Nationals in both 2000 and 2001, marking significant achievements in the highly competitive sprint car world. In 2001, she finished 10th out of 104 competitors in the 360 Sprint Car division at the Knoxville Nationals. In the United Expressline American Sprint Car Series in 2000, she made three starts with an average finish of 14.00 and no top-10 results. This experience in high-horsepower, open-wheel dirt racing built her skills and visibility in motorsports. It ultimately led her to transition to full-bodied stock car racing with her entry into the ARCA Re/Max Series in 2002.

ARCA Re/Max Series (2002–2006)

Christi Passmore competed in the ARCA Re/Max Series from 2002 to 2006, making a total of 66 starts across five seasons without securing any victories, pole positions, or top-five finishes beyond select strong runs, while accumulating 21 top-10 results. Her ARCA tenure represented the primary phase of her stock car career, during which she transitioned from limited equipment to more competitive family-operated efforts. She entered the series in 2002 with Andy Belmont Racing, piloting the No. 91 Ford in eight races. Passmore made her debut at Salem Speedway, finishing 19th, and concluded the year 37th in the points standings with 750 points. For 2003, she switched to a full-season campaign with the family-owned Christi Passmore Racing team, campaigning Dodge and Ford entries, and delivered a breakout performance by earning seven top-10 finishes, including a single top-five result with a career-best fifth place at Talladega Superspeedway. She finished eighth in points with 4,515 points and was recognized as the runner-up for Rookie of the Year honors. Passmore continued with the family team for a full schedule in 2004, improving her consistency with 10 top-10 finishes and four top-fives, highlighted by a career-best third place at Chicagoland Speedway. She again placed eighth in the final points standings, this time with 4,690 points. Her participation shifted to part-time in 2005, with 13 starts yielding four top-10 results and a best finish of sixth at Pocono Raceway, resulting in a 29th-place points finish with 1,675 points. In 2006, Passmore's ARCA involvement was limited to a single start at Daytona International Speedway, where she finished 27th after involvement in a multi-car crash, ending the year 146th in points with 95 points. She made no additional ARCA starts after the 2006 season.

Passmore was one of the 25 contestants chosen to take part in the competition, which documented the selection process for a new driver to join Jack Roush's organization. Post-racing career

Business leadership and current role

The company, founded in 1990 by her grandfather Glen Passmore Sr., produces asphalt saturated organic felts, self-adhered underlayments, and related materials across multiple U.S. facilities, emphasizing quality and personalized customer service. Passmore has been with G.A.P. Roofing Inc. since 2000, progressing through various roles within the third-generation family business. In September 2019, she was serving as Vice President when the company announced executive hires to support sales growth. On January 29, 2020, coinciding with the company's 30th anniversary, she was appointed President, succeeding Glen Passmore Jr., who transitioned to Chairman of the Board. In her role as President, Passmore aligns sales, service, technology, product design, and process development to drive business execution and innovation. The announcement of her leadership highlighted her proven abilities and prior experience in professional race car driving as assets for navigating fast-paced, high-stakes environments. G.A.P. Roofing Inc. continues to operate under her direction as a family-led enterprise committed to long-term industry impact.

Personal life

Family and later years

Little public information is available on Christi Passmore's family or her life in later years, as she has maintained a private profile since stepping away from racing and television appearances. Reliable sources do not document details such as marriage, children, or other family relationships. This scarcity of personal details contrasts with the media coverage she received during her racing career in the early 2000s.
