All Elite Wrestling / Ring of Honor (2020–present)
[edit]On the October 27, 2020, episode of AEW Dark, Top Flight made their All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut where they lost to Evil Uno and Stu Grayson of the Dark Order. On the November 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, Top Flight fought The Young Bucks in a losing effort. On November 23, it was announced that they had signed with the company.[3][4][5] In February 2021, Darius was sidelined with a torn ACL thus taking him out of action and leaving Dante on his own as a singles competitor.[6]
Over the following months, Martin would receive a significant push, wrestling against the likes of Kenny Omega, Malakai Black, Matt Sydal, and Powerhouse Hobbs. In October 2021, Martin formed an alliance with Lio Rush who was attempting to recruit him as his tag team partner. On the November 11, 2021, episode of AEW Dynamite, Martin teamed with Rush against Matt Sydal and Lee Moriarty where they were victorious.[7][8][9][10][11] On the November 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, Martin accepted Taz's offer to join Team Taz much to Rush's dismay. However, on the December 8 episode of Dynamite, Martin would eliminate Team Taz member Ricky Starks from the Dynamite Diamond Dozen Battle Royal, thus winning the battle royal and removing him from the group. It was revealed that Dante joining Team Taz was a scheme created by Lio Rush and Dante Martin. The following week, Martin fought MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring where he lost after a distraction by Starks.[12][13][14] The partnership between Rush and Martin would abruptly end after Rush departed AEW. On the January 12 episode of Dynamite, Dante Martin defeated Powerhouse Hobbs. On the February 18, 2022, episode of AEW Rampage, Martin fought Hobbs in a Face of the Revolution Qualifying match where he was defeated.[15]
Three weeks later on the March 2, 2022, episode of Dynamite, Dante reunited with his brother Darius in the tag team Casino Battle Royal, where Darius would last until the end, until being eliminated by Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks.[16] On the March 9 episode of Dynamite, Martin challenged Hangman Page for the AEW World Championship in a losing effort. After the match, Martin was endorsed by Page as a future champion in AEW as both men embraced and shook hands.[17] The tag-team’s return to action was short-lived, as soon after it was revealed that Darius had gotten into a serious car accident, which was expected to leave him out injured for up to nine months, forcing Dante to return to singles competition.[18]
On May 4, Dante lost to Rey Fenix in an Owen Hart Cup tournament qualifying-round match.[19] On June 3, Dante faced Scorpio Sky for the AEW TNT Championship, but was defeated.[20] On August 12 on AEW Rampage Quake by the Lake, Martin teamed up with Skye Blue to take on Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship which they lost.[21] On September 4, at All Out (2022), Dante competed in the Casino Ladder match, but the match was won by Maxwell Jacob Friedman.[22]
On November 16, 2022, Dante reunited with a returning Darius to team with AR Fox, to challenge Death Triangle, for the AEW World Trios Championship, in a losing effort.[23] On the November 13 edition of Rampage, Top Flight unsuccessfully challenged FTR, for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.[24] On December 10, at Final Battle, Top Flight made their debuts for AEW's sister company Ring of Honor, defeating The Kingdom on the pre-show.[25] On the December 23 edition of Rampage, Top Flight once again teamed with AR Fox, where they won the $300,000 Three Kings Christmas Casino Trios Battle Royal, where the brothers lastly eliminated ROH World Champion, Claudio Castagnoli.[26] Due to this, Top Flight entered a short feud with the Blackpool Combat Club, in which Castagnoli was a member, losing to members of the group over the following weeks. Top Flight achieved their first win over the BCC on the January 16 edition of AEW Dark, defeating Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta, in a three-way tag-team match also involving The Butcher and the Blade, after Dante pinned The Blade. On the January 18 edition of Dynamite, Top Flight defeated The Young Bucks, in an upset victory.[27] In April 2023 at Supercard of Honor, Martin suffered a severe leg injury.[28]
Dante returned on the November 29, 2023 episode of Dynamite, teaming with his brother and Action Andretti, where they defeated the Hardys and Brother Zay.[29] In December 2023, Top Flight and Andretti unsuccessfully challenged The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn for the AEW World Trios Championship. In August 2024 at All In, Top Flight and Andretti were on the winning team of a 16-man tag team match. In October 2024, Top Flight and Andretti unsuccessfully challenged the Blackpool Combat Club for the AEW World Trios Championship. On the December 4 episode of Dynamite, Top Flight were eliminated by Andretti and Lio Rush during the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale, teasing a split in the alliance.[30] On December 14 at the Winter is Coming special of Collision, Top Flight were defeated by Andretti and Rush.[31]
In July 2025, Top Flight formed an alliance with Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky, known as "Sky Flight".[32]

Family and background
Dante Martin was born on March 3, 2001, in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he was raised alongside his older brother, Darius Martin.[1][10] The brothers, who share a close bond through their shared passion for professional wrestling, began training together in 2016 at The Academy: School of Professional Wrestling in Minneapolis.[8][4] Under the tutelage of former WWE stars Molly Holly and Ken Anderson (also known as Mr. Anderson), the Martins honed their skills, with Dante initially competing under the masked persona El Angel Caído in his early independent matches.[11][12] This family-driven entry into the sport laid the foundation for their tag team partnership, later known as Top Flight, emphasizing high-flying athleticism inspired by their Minnesota roots and rigorous early training.[13]Wrestling training and debut
Martin began his professional wrestling training in 2016 at The Academy: School of Professional Wrestling in Minneapolis, Minnesota, alongside his older brother Darius. The school, founded by former WWE wrestler Ken Anderson (also known as Mr. Kennedy), provided instruction from Anderson himself as well as fellow WWE veteran Molly Holly, emphasizing fundamentals, aerial techniques, and in-ring safety for aspiring high-flyers like the brothers. At just 15 years old, Martin quickly adapted to the rigorous program, which included daily drills on flips, dives, and mat work, allowing him to develop his signature athletic style early on.[13] The Martin brothers trained together as a unit, often practicing tag team maneuvers to build synergy, which would later define their career as Top Flight. Their sessions at The Academy also involved guest trainers like Shawn Daivari, exposing them to diverse wrestling influences from the Midwest independent scene. This foundational period lasted several months, with Martin absorbing lessons on storytelling and psychology to complement his natural agility. By mid-2016, both brothers were deemed ready for in-ring competition, marking the transition from trainees to performers.[11] Martin's professional debut occurred on September 10, 2016, in a dark match for Independent Wrestling International (IWI) at an event in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he competed under the masked persona El Angel Caido. In the bout, he lost to his brother Darius, performing as Air Wolf, in a showcase of their budding high-flying abilities before a small local crowd. This intra-family match highlighted Martin's early potential despite the defeat, setting the stage for his initial run on the Midwest indie circuit under various gimmicks like El Angel Dorado. The debut was a low-profile affair typical for rookies, but it launched Martin into sporadic appearances across promotions such as IWI and AAW Wrestling.[12][8]Professional wrestling career
Independent circuit (2016–2020)
Martin began his professional wrestling career on the independent circuit in 2016, initially performing under the masked persona of El Ángel Caído. His debut occurred on September 10, 2016, in a dark match for Independent Wrestling International (IWI) against Air Wolf, who was portrayed by his real-life brother Darius Martin.[8] The brothers soon transitioned into a tag team known as Lucha Extreme, adopting the ring names Air Wolf and Angel Dorado (with Martin as Angel Dorado starting in September 2017). They quickly established themselves in the Midwest independent scene, competing primarily in promotions such as IWI, Pro Wrestling Battleground (PWB), Northern Lights Wrestling (NLW), and House of Wrestling (HOW).[8][3] In 2017, Lucha Extreme feuded with the YOLO Brothers (Kamikaze Klecker and Patrick McDaniel) over the IWI Tag Team Championship. After a title match loss on May 13, 2017, they captured the belts on September 16, 2017, marking Martin's first championship in professional wrestling. The team defended the titles successfully multiple times before vacating them in 2018 to pursue opportunities elsewhere. Throughout 2018 and into 2019, Martin and his brother expanded their reach, appearing in promotions like Showtime Wrestling, Motor City Wrestling All-Star Weekend (MAW/PW4C), and American Wrestling Federation (AWF). Their high-flying style, featuring moves such as the 450° splash and springboard cutter, earned them recognition as one of the top young tag teams in the region.[8][14][15] By 2019, Martin began incorporating more singles competition while maintaining the tag team dynamic. He won the AWF Television Championship on March 16, 2019, and later the AWF Heavyweight Championship on June 1, 2019, showcasing his versatility beyond tag wrestling. Later that year, on July 13, 2019, he captured the PWB Breakout Championship, and on October 11, 2019, he defeated Air Wolf to win the Canadian Unified Junior Heavyweight Championship in a brother-vs.-brother matchup. These victories highlighted Martin's rapid ascent, with the tag team rebranding as The Flip Bros. or Top Flight in some promotions. In 2020, prior to signing with a major promotion, they worked events for F1RST Wrestling, including a title win of the United Glory Tag Team Championships on October 10, 2020, and Martin secured a victory in a four-way match at the Black Wrestlers Matter event on August 22, 2020, against Kal Creed, Shane Foster, and Stephen Wolf.[8][16][17] During this period, Martin also appeared in other independent groups like Crushed Entertainment Wrestling (CRUSHED), Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW), Glory Pro Wrestling, Independent Wrestling TV (IWTV), All American Wrestling (AAW), and Beyond Wrestling's The Gathering series, often teaming with his brother or competing in multi-man matches that emphasized their athleticism. Their work on the circuit built a reputation for innovative aerial maneuvers and helped lay the foundation for their transition to larger platforms.[8][18]All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor (2020–present)
Martin debuted in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as part of the tag team Top Flight alongside his brother Darius on the October 27, 2020 episode of AEW Dark, where they lost to Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson).[19] The duo impressed AEW officials with their athleticism, leading to a contract signing announcement on November 23, 2020, following a standout performance on the November 18 episode of AEW Dynamite against AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks, in which they earned a near fall.[20] Initially competing primarily on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation, Top Flight secured several victories, including against The Gunn Club and Bear Country, establishing themselves as high-flying underdogs in the promotion's tag division.[21] In early 2021, Darius Martin's ACL injury forced Dante to transition to singles competition, marking his first singles match on the March 15 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation against Serpentico, which he won via submission.[22] Martin built momentum with wins over opponents like Brandon Cutler and Alan Angels. During this period, Martin aligned with Lio Rush as his manager, but tensions led to a betrayal on the November 24, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite, after which he signed with Team Taz, adopting a more aggressive style while continuing to compete in both singles and tag formats upon Darius's return.[22] Top Flight reunited in mid-2022, competing in multi-team matches and qualifiers for the AEW World Tag Team Championship, including a loss to FTR on the November 25, 2022 episode of AEW Rampage for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.[23] The team made their Ring of Honor (ROH) debut on December 10, 2022, at ROH Final Battle, defeating The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) on the Zero Hour pre-show to earn a future title opportunity.[24] Their ROH appearances expanded in 2023 and 2024, with multi-man tag victories such as alongside Action Andretti over Matt Sydal, Christopher Daniels, and Jack Cartwheel on the April 4, 2024 episode of ROH on HonorClub.[25] A severe injury sidelined Martin during a ladder match at ROH Supercard of Honor on March 31, 2023, where he dislocated his ankle and fractured his fibula after a Canadian Destroyer off a bridged ladder through tables, requiring surgery and approximately nine months of recovery.[26] He returned to action on November 29, 2023, on AEW Dynamite, teaming with Darius and Action Andretti to defeat The Hardys and Brother Zay. Post-return, Martin integrated into the Sky Flight faction, which includes Scorpio Sky, Christopher Daniels, and Leila Grey, competing in trios and tag bouts across AEW and ROH programming.[27][28] In 2024, Top Flight achieved a tag team win over The Workhorsemen on the May 30, 2024 episode of ROH on HonorClub. Martin also competed in a trios loss in a qualifier for the TNT Championship London Ladder Match against PAC and Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta) on the August 24, 2024 episode of AEW Collision.[29] The group evolved, adding Lio Rush in October 2024, leading to competitive outings like a defeat to Ricochet on the October 26, 2024 AEW Collision, where Martin served as a cornerman.[30] In 2025, Martin remained active in both promotions, highlighted by Sky Flight's trios victory over Shane Taylor Promotions on the July 31, 2025 episode of AEW Collision. Top Flight suffered a tag team loss to Josh Alexander and Hechicero in a qualifier for the AEW World Tag Team Championship ladder match at All Out on the September 17, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite. Later that month, Martin was part of another tag team loss to Hechicero and Josh Alexander on the same episode.[31] In November 2025, Sky Flight secured an eight-person mixed tag victory over MxM TV on the November 13, 2025 episode of ROH on HonorClub, and Martin participated in the Blood & Guts match on the November 12, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite as part of faction warfare.[32][33]Tag teams and factions
Top Flight
Top Flight is a professional wrestling tag team composed of American brothers Darius Martin and Dante Martin, known for their high-flying, athletic style that emphasizes aerial maneuvers and quick tandem offense. The duo formed in 2016 after training together at The Academy: School of Professional Wrestling in Minneapolis under the guidance of Ken Anderson (also known as Mr. Kennedy). Their professional debut occurred that year with Independent Wrestling International (IWI), where they quickly established themselves as a promising act on the independent circuit.[34] Early in their career, Top Flight achieved notable success outside of major promotions, capturing the IWI Tag Team Championship in September 2017 during an event in New York. They defended the titles multiple times before vacating them upon transitioning to other opportunities. In October 2020, the team won the United Glory Tag Team Championship in the Netherlands, holding the belts for 288 days and showcasing their international appeal through a series of defenses that highlighted their synchronized dives and fast-paced matches. These accomplishments helped build their reputation as one of the most dynamic young tag teams in independent wrestling.[34] The Martins signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in November 2020, first appearing on the October 27 episode of AEW Dark, losing to Evil Uno and Stu Grayson, before securing their first victory against Baron Black and Frankie Thomas on the November 10 episode in a showcase of their explosive teamwork. Their first appearance on AEW Dynamite followed on November 18, pitting them against The Young Bucks in a high-energy bout that introduced their flair to a national audience. However, the team's momentum was disrupted by injuries; Darius suffered a torn ACL in February 2021 during a match against Stu Grayson on AEW Dark: Elevation, sidelining him for nearly a year. He returned in early 2022 but faced another setback in April 2022 from a severe car accident, which required six to nine months of recovery before his in-ring comeback in November 2022 on AEW Dynamite. During Darius's absences, Dante competed successfully as a singles wrestler, including a brief feud with The Kingdom in Ring of Honor (ROH), AEW's sister promotion.[34][35][36] Reunited and consistent since 2023, Top Flight has been a mainstay on AEW and ROH programming, participating in high-profile events such as the March 2024 AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament, where they advanced before elimination by Big Bill and Ricky Starks. In August 2024, the team expanded its presentation by adding Leila Grey as their "flight attendant" manager, enhancing their coordinated entrance and storyline presence. By July 2025, Top Flight became the foundational tag unit within the newly formed Sky Flight faction, aligning with Scorpio Sky and managed by Christopher Daniels, which has positioned them for elevated opportunities in AEW's tag division while maintaining their core emphasis on acrobatic precision and brotherly synergy. Top Flight has competed in ranked AEW matches through late 2025, remaining a fan favorite for their potential and resilience.[37][38][39][40]Sky Flight
Sky Flight is a professional wrestling stable active in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Ring of Honor (ROH), centered around the high-flying style of its core members. The group consists of Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin, Darius Martin (competing as the tag team Top Flight), and Leila Grey, with veteran Christopher Daniels serving as their manager and mentor.[41][39] The faction formed during the July 5, 2025, episode of AEW Collision, marking Scorpio Sky's return to full-time in-ring competition after a two-year hiatus. Sky answered an open challenge from Max Caster, defeating him in under a minute, before being joined by Daniels, Top Flight, and Grey in a post-match segment that highlighted their shared training and alliance. This reunion built on Sky and Daniels' prior successful partnership, which included multiple tag team title reigns, while incorporating Top Flight's athletic prowess to revitalize the younger wrestlers' momentum following recent setbacks. The stable was officially named Sky Flight on the July 10 episode of AEW Collision, with Daniels introducing the group as a unified force aimed at tag and trios dominance.[39][41][42] Since its inception, Sky Flight has focused on trios competition, leveraging the aerial offense of Dante and Darius Martin alongside Sky's technical striking. The group debuted in multi-man action on the July 31, 2025, episode of AEW Collision, where Sky Flight defeated Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo, and Shawn Dean) in a six-man tag match. They continued building momentum in ROH, securing victories such as against The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) and Matt Menard on October 8, 2025, taped in Jacksonville, Florida,[43] and again on November 6, 2025, in a fast-paced bout where Sky Flight intervened in a post-match beatdown.[44] These wins positioned Sky Flight as top contenders for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship, held by Shane Taylor Promotions, with promotional vignettes emphasizing their challenge heading into late 2025 events. On November 15, 2025, Sky Flight won a mixed eight-person tag team match against MxM TV on ROH TV.[45] Following a match on November 17, 2025, they were ambushed post-match by the champions.[46][47][48]Championships and accomplishments
Professional wrestling titles
Dante Martin has secured a number of championships across various independent promotions during his early career, primarily in singles and tag team divisions, though he has yet to capture a major title in All Elite Wrestling as of November 2025.[3] His title victories highlight his versatility as a high-flying performer, often partnering with wrestlers like Air Wolf in tag team competition.[49] Martin's first notable title win came in the American Wrestling Federation (AWF), where he captured the AWF Championship once.[3] He also won the AWF Television Championship once, earning it through a tournament victory in 2019.[4] In Canadian Wrestling's Elite (CWE), Martin held the CWE Canadian Unified Junior Heavyweight Championship for one reign, showcasing his junior heavyweight skills.[49] As part of tag teams, Martin teamed with Air Wolf to win the United Glory Tag Team Championship in Glory Pro Wrestling for one reign.[3] The duo also claimed the Independent Wrestling International (IWI) Tag Team Championship once.[4] Additionally, Martin won the PWB Breakout Championship once in Pro Wrestling Battleground, an accolade recognizing emerging talent.[49]| Promotion | Championship | Reign(s) | Partner(s) | Notes |
