Dunmore (Irish: Dún Mór, lit. 'a great fort') is a barony in County Galway, Ireland.
Dunmore literally means "great fort". It gave its name to the Conmaicne Dúin Móir ("Conmaicne of Dunmore"), originally Cenél Dubáin.
