Mario Gyr has made occasional guest appearances as himself on Swiss public television programs broadcast by SRF. These appearances, documented primarily through credits as "Self," consist of interviews and guest spots rather than recurring roles or any involvement in acting, production, or other professional capacities. He appeared in two episodes of the long-running SRF sports magazine Sportpanorama, one aired on October 9, 2016, and the other in July 2020. The 2020 segment featured Gyr discussing how he unwinds by fishing. In 2016, Gyr was a guest on the SRF talk show Aeschbacher in the episode titled "Taten statt Worte." He appeared on the traditional card game entertainment program Samschtig-Jass in 2017. In 2024, Gyr was a guest on Donnschtig-Jass, another SRF card game program.
