NGC 3954 is an elliptical galaxy located 324 million light-years away[3] in the Leo constellation. It was discovered on April 26, 1785, by the astronomer William Herschel.[4] NGC 3954 is a LINER galaxy,[5] and is a member of the NGC 3937 Group.[6][7]

NGC 3954 has a supermassive black hole with an estimated mass of 4.8 × 108 M.[8]
