Sandy Grushow
Sandy Grushow (born April 3, 1960) is an American media executive and the CEO of Phase Two Media, an advisory practice focused on the media and technology industries. He is the former Chairman of the Fox Television Entertainment Group and former Chief Content Officer at MediaLink. He most recently served on the Board of Advisors and the Board of Directors at Tubi.
Grushow was born to a Jewish family on April 3, 1960, in New York City. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.A. in Communication Studies.
Grushow worked for nearly 25 years at the Fox Entertainment Group, holding a series of executive positions. He began his career in feature film marketing at Twentieth Century Fox, rising to Vice President and contributing to promotional campaigns for motion pictures including Big, Die Hard, and Broadcast News.
In 1988, he was appointed Senior Vice President of Advertising and Promotions at the Fox Broadcasting Company, where he oversaw the launch of The Simpsons, In Living Color, Cops, and Beverly Hills, 90210.
He was appointed President of the network’s entertainment division in 1992 at the age of 32. During this period, the network introduced The X-Files, Melrose Place, and Party of Five, and expanded from four to seven nights of primetime programming. In 1996, he was appointed President of 20th Century Fox Television.
In 1999, Grushow returned to the network as Chairman of the Fox Television Entertainment Group, overseeing both the network and studio operations. The group developed and launched series including American Idol, 24, and House.
In 2010, Grushow joined MediaLink as Chief Content Officer, providing strategic guidance to clients in the marketing, media, and technology sectors.
He subsequently launched his own advisory practice, Phase Two Media, where he serves as CEO. The firm provides strategic guidance to media and technology companies. In this capacity, he served as a board member of The Weather Company and was a longtime advisor and board member at Tubi, the ad-supported streaming service acquired by Fox Corporation in 2020.
