After leaving Australia Zoo, Bob pursued conservation endeavors independently, free from the operational constraints of the established family institution. He redirected his focus and passion towards projects aligning with his specific values and vision.

Bob Irwin established the Bob Irwin Wildlife & Conservation Foundation. The aim of the Foundation is to provide help, resources and assistance to wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and conservation initiatives. The foundation also focusses on the protection and preservation of endangered species, ecological communities and their habitat.
