CS 40

The CS 40 is a Canadian sailboat, that was designed by Tony Castro and first built in 1987.

The boat was built by CS Yachts in Canada, starting in 1987, but it is now out of production.

The CS 40 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fibreglass. It has a masthead sloop rig, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder, a fixed fin keel and displaces 17,000 lb (7,711 kg).

The boat is fitted with a Volvo Penta diesel engine of 43 hp (32 kW). The fuel tank holds 50 U.S. gallons (190 L; 42 imp gal) and the fresh water tank has a capacity of 100 U.S. gallons (380 L; 83 imp gal).

The boat has a hull speed of 7.66 kn (14.19 km/h).
