Cartopia is a food cart pod (lot of many food trucks) located on the corner of SE 12th Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard in Southeast Portland, Oregon.^[1]

Description and history

The Cartopia food pod was established in 2008^[2] or 2009.^[3] Thrillist says, "Cartopia is exactly as it sounds: a mecca of food trucks and foodies alike, all looking for the one that's going to do them in."^[4] The pod has picnic tables, fire pits, and string lights.^[5]

The site was slated for redevelopment,^[6]^[7]^[8] after Vic Remmers submitted plans to construct an apartment building.^[9] Instead, the landlord offered two-year lease renewals.^[10]
