David Pakman
David Pakman (born 2 February 1984) is an American-Argentine talk show host and political commentator. He is the host of the talk radio program The David Pakman Show. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is a naturalized citizen of the United States.
David Pakman was born to a Jewish family of Ashkenazi descent in Buenos Aires in February 1984 and immigrated to the United States at the age of five. He has a brother. His mother has taught collegiate Judaic studies.
At the age of 16, he became a US citizen. He grew up in Northampton, Massachusetts, and graduated from Northampton High School. Pakman attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, Massachusetts, where he majored in economics and communications. He earned an MBA degree from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Pakman hosts The David Pakman Show, a television, radio, and internet political program. In 2005, Pakman began hosting a show on local radio as a "hobby", and by 2011 the show aired on 100 stations. The program first aired in August 2005 on WXOJ-LP ("Valley Free Radio"), located in Northampton, Massachusetts, as Midweek Politics with David Pakman.
Pakman has appeared on Fox News, CNN, HLN's Nancy Grace program, HLN's Dr. Drew on Call, the Lex Fridman Podcast, two episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience, Piers Morgan Uncensored, Mother Jones, the Boston Herald, The New York Times, and Wired.
His debut non-fiction book, The Echo Machine (2025) was a New York Times Bestseller.
In August 2025, a Wired article mentioned Pakman in connection with the Chorus Creator Incubator Program, a dark money initiative funded by the Sixteen Thirty Fund that supports and compensates online influencers who promote Democratic Party messaging.
Pakman has stated he is secular and does not believe in God, but would not rule out the possibility. In February 2024, Pakman said, "I know this may come as a shock because I'm Jewish, I don't think about circumcision ever unless someone calls in and asks me about it… The last I checked, the American Academy of Pediatrics said the benefits outweigh the risks but it's not an issue of critical importance and parents should decide."
