Marco Greco is a Brazilian former racing driver known for his participation in Grand Prix motorcycle racing and American open-wheel series, most notably achieving a top-three finish in the Indy Racing League championship. He began his professional racing career in the early 1980s with sporadic entries in the 500cc Grand Prix motorcycle world championship, making 13 starts across several seasons without scoring points or achieving top finishes. Greco then transitioned to car racing, competing in European open-wheel series such as British Formula 3 and British Formula 3000 during the late 1980s and early 1990s, where he secured podiums and a win in the latter category. He moved to the United States in the early 1990s, racing in Indy Lights and CART before joining the newly formed Indy Racing League. In the Indy Racing League from 1996 to 1999, Greco competed in 23 races for teams including A.J. Foyt Enterprises, Galles Racing, Team Scandia, and Phoenix Racing, earning one pole position, one podium (a third-place finish), and 476 total points. His most notable achievement came in the 1996-97 season, when he finished third in the drivers' championship standings with 230 points. This performance marked the highlight of his open-wheel career before his retirement from full-time competition.
