Michael Conroy is a Gaelic footballer who plays for Davitts and the Mayo county team.[1] He started at right corner-forward and scored a point in the 2012 All-Ireland SFC final, which Mayo lost by 0–13 to 2–11 against Donegal.[2][3][4]

Michael Conroy is an Irish medical oncologist known for his specialization in gynecologic cancers and his research in early-phase clinical trials, liquid biopsies, and the microbiome's influence on immunotherapy responses. He treats patients with ovarian, uterine (endometrial), and cervical cancers using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and involvement in innovative clinical studies, emphasizing personalized care and multidisciplinary collaboration. Conroy earned his medical degree (MB BCh BAO) from University College Dublin and completed his internal medicine residency and medical oncology fellowship through the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He advanced his training with an oncology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University before joining Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he serves as an assistant attending physician focused on gynecologic medical oncology. His work includes investigating early-stage trials and contributing as an investigator in studies such as a phase 1b-2 trial evaluating COM701 as maintenance therapy in recurrent ovarian cancer. In recognition of his contributions, Conroy received the Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Conquer Cancer Foundation in 2024 and participated in the ASCO/AACR Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop in 2023.
