Nykyfor Tymofiyovych Kalchenko (Ukrainian: Никифор Тимофійович Кальченко; 9 February [O.S. 27 January] 1906 – 14 May 1989) was a Ukrainian and Soviet politician, who served as the chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR (equivalent of today's prime-minister).[1]

Nykyfor Kalchenko was born in a peasant family in a small village Koshmanovka in Poltava Governorate (now Poltava Oblast).[citation needed]
In 1928 he graduated Poltava Agriculture Institute.[citation needed]
