Wade Wei Lin Chang MP (Chinese: 張瑋麟; born 1985 or 1986)[1] is a Taiwanese-born Canadian politician and lawyer who has served as a member of Parliament since 2025 in the riding of Burnaby Central.[2]

Early life and education
[edit]Chang was born in Taiwan and raised in Canada.[3] He also studied law in Australia and earned an MBA at Oxford.
Political career
[edit]In the 2025 Canadian federal election held on April 28, 2025, he defeated the federal New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh.[3]
Chang is the second Taiwanese-Canadian to be elected to Canada’s federal government.[4] Chang is the first Gay Asian member of the Canadian parliament.[5]
