Indian content

Zee Alwan's Indian content primarily consists of popular Hindi-language serials originally produced by Zee TV and other Indian production houses, which are dubbed into Arabic to cater to family audiences in the Arab world. These serials often premiere exclusively on the channel shortly after their Indian broadcast, forming the backbone of its daily programming schedule. Representative examples include family dramas such as Kumkum Bhagya, which explores themes of love and familial bonds, and historical romances like Jodha Akbar, depicting the legendary Mughal-era love story. Other notable dubbed series encompass Pavitra Rishta, a tale of marital challenges and redemption, and Kundali Bhagya, focusing on destiny and sibling relationships, all adapted to resonate with Arabic-speaking viewers through culturally sensitive translations. The channel also features a selection of Bollywood films, subtitled in for , aired in dedicated movie slots to complement its serial lineup. The process for Indian serials on Zee Alwan involves professional voice actors who synchronize dialogues with original lip movements, while adapting cultural references—such as religious or traditional elements—to align with sensibilities without altering core plots. These series attract viewers through high production values and emotional storytelling that align with regional preferences for melodramatic plots involving loyalty, betrayal, and redemption. The channel's strategy for Turkish content involves acquiring top-rated exports from , such as those from major production houses, and them in specialized Arabic studios to adapt dialogues and references for cultural contexts, enhancing relatability without altering core narratives. This approach has contributed to the popularity of Turkish dramas on Zee Alwan, where they fill prime-time slots and complement the channel's family-oriented by emphasizing genres like romance and historical epics. In addition to imported content, Zee Alwan features original Arabic productions and acquisitions, focusing on locally resonant stories produced in Arab countries to foster cultural connection. As of 2025, notable examples include "El Nos," a recent Arabic series exploring contemporary themes, and ongoing seasons such as "Makanak Fel Qalb Hwa Alqalb Kolo" (Season 9) and "Alam Tany." Earlier productions like "Thil" (2022), a pan-Arab drama starring AbdelMenem Amayri and Kinda Hanna, and "Ser," a Lebanese-filmed suspense adaptation, highlight the channel's commitment to diverse genres including social dramas, light comedies, and action-oriented narratives. These original Arabic offerings are often scheduled prominently during high-viewership periods like Ramadan, with acquisitions from production hubs in the GCC, Egypt, Syria, and Lebanon to ensure authenticity and broad appeal through stories rooted in Arab societal issues, romances, and family sagas.
