Death in London
March 29, 1772
Emanuel Swedenborg dies in London at the age of 84. He reportedly remained lucid until his death, reaffirming his beliefs and expressing his readiness to meet his maker. He died calmly, and peacefully.
Burial
April 1772
Swedenborg is buried in the Swedish Church in London. His remains were later transferred to Uppsala Cathedral in Sweden in 1908.
